As my art career continues to evolve, I'm gearing up for what promises to be an exciting 2026 art festivals season. With an increasing number of invitations to fine art fairs, I'm both thrilled and daunted by the prospect of managing these opportunities. After years of focusing on Chicago and Illinois area shows, this year's schedule necessitates some tough choices due to conflicting dates, but I'm also looking forward to exploring new markets and connecting with a broader audience. My festival journey resumes on April 24th in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by events in Minneapolis, Minnesota, than back to Chicago, after that Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and subsequent stops in Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, with Florida potentially on the horizon. One of the more mundane but necessary aspects is dealing with sales and use tax regulations across different states, which I approach with diligence if not enthusiasm. My husband jokingly suggests I have a hidden talent for accounting. Beyond the creative work, managing the business side, including the acquisition of new printing equipment and a trailer to transport larger works, is keeping me busy. These investments will allow me to present a wider range of art pieces and larger prints. I'm enthusiastic about the new challenges and opportunities ahead and look forward to connecting with you at the festivals.🥰🥰
